Amio Privacy Policy

Amio is a photography-first personal perfume collection and daily scent journal, built to help you curate a visual fragrance library, organize your collection by scent family (Floral, Woody, Oriental, Fresh), log daily wears with mood/occasion/weather context, and track longevity and sillage performance over time.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect the personal data you share with us when using the Amio mobile application, web platform, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). We design our data practices to prioritize your privacy, as we recognize your fragrance collection and scent journal entries are often highly personal.

We only collect data that is necessary to deliver and improve the Amio Service, including:

• User-Created Content: All content you actively upload and input into the Service, including photographs of your fragrance bottles, custom collection descriptions, scent family categorizations, daily wear journal entries (including associated mood, occasion, weather, longevity, and sillage ratings you submit), and account profile information (such as your email address, display name, and optional profile photo).
• Automatic Usage Data: Non-identifiable data about how you interact with the Service, including feature usage frequency, load times, crash reports, and device technical information. This data is used exclusively to fix bugs and optimize Amio's performance.
• Optional Communication Data: Information you share when you contact our support team, including message content and contact details you provide to help us resolve your request.

We do not collect sensitive personal data unrelated to the core functionality of the Service, and we never access your device camera, photo library, or microphone without your explicit permission.

We use your data exclusively for the following purposes:

• Deliver core Service functionality: host your visual fragrance collection wall, store your scent journal entries, organize your collection by scent family, generate your personalized longevity and sillage tracking reports, and sync your data across your devices if you enable cloud backup.
• Improve and develop new features: analyze anonymized usage patterns to refine existing tools (such as our fragrance photo capture and tagging system) and build new features that align with user needs (for example, adding new scent family categories based on popular user requests).
• Provide customer support: respond to your inquiries, troubleshoot account issues, and assist with data export or deletion requests.
• Send important service updates: notify you of changes to this policy, security alerts, or critical Service modifications. We will never send you unsolicited marketing communications unless you explicitly opt in to receive them.

We will never sell your personal fragrance collection data, journal entries, or usage history to third parties for advertising or commercial purposes.

We only share your personal data in the following limited circumstances:

• Trusted service providers: We work with third-party vendors who provide essential infrastructure for the Service (such as cloud hosting, data storage, and payment processing if you subscribe to premium features). All vendors are bound by strict confidentiality agreements and are prohibited from using your data for any purpose outside of providing services to Amio.
• Legal requirements: We may disclose your data if we are required to do so by a valid legal order, or if we reasonably believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of other users.
• With your explicit consent: We will share your data if you choose to share your collection wall or journal entries to external social platforms, or if you explicitly authorize us to share your data for a specific purpose.

You retain full ownership and control over all content you upload to Amio. You have the right to:

• Access all personal data we hold about you, including a full export of your fragrance collection, journal entries, and account data in a machine-readable format.
• Edit, update, or delete any content you have uploaded to the Service at any time directly within the app.
• Request permanent deletion of your entire account and all associated data, with no residual copies retained after deletion is processed (excluding data we are required to retain for legal compliance purposes).
• Opt out of non-essential data collection for product improvement purposes at any time in your account settings.

To exercise any of these rights, contact our support team at the email address listed at the end of this policy. We will respond to all valid requests within 30 days.

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction, including end-to-end encryption for data in transit, AES-256 encryption for stored content, and regular security audits of our infrastructure.

While we take all reasonable precautions to protect your data, no electronic storage system or internet transmission is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, but we continuously update our security practices to mitigate risk.

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes to our practices or legal requirements. We will notify all users of material changes at least 15 days before the updated policy takes effect, via in-app notification or email to the address associated with your account.

Your continued use of the Service after the updated policy takes effect constitutes your acceptance of the changes. You may choose to delete your account at any time if you do not agree with the updated terms.
